ECON 572 Advanced Microeconomics
This course provides an in-depth analysis of supply and demand, the theory of the consumer and theory of the firm, with particular emphasis on public policy in developed and developing countries. The course focuses on the determinants of consumer and firm behavior as well as the market and its failures. Key concepts include efficiency, opportunity cost, the role of incentives and marginal analysis.
Prerequisite
Open to students in the M.A. in Applied Economics program. Other students must request permission to enroll through the Department of Economics.
