POL 340 Intelligence Analysis Tradecraft
This is an introductory course that examines the key elements, methods, problems, cognitive, and bureaucratic issues of intelligence analysis and estimation. This course is designed to augment the curriculum of the intelligence program. We will use secondary books and articles by professional intelligence officers, declassified U.S. Intelligence Community documents and case studies to study the issues affecting the accuracy, timeliness, accuracy and relevance of intelligence analysis to national security strategy and decision-making, military planning and operations, and weapons acquisition.
