AI 457 Evolutionary Artificial Intelligence
Introduces Evolutionary Artificial Intelligence as a paradigm for designing adaptive intelligent systems. Students learn how learning, reasoning, and search mechanisms can be integrated into hybrid AI architectures capable of self-improvement. The course builds on prior AI coursework (e.g., Machine Learning, NLP, and Deep Learning) and focuses on system-level design rather than individual models. Topics include evolutionary learning, genetic programming, neuro evolution, adaptive decision systems, and the integration of modern AI components such as large language models. The course is implementation-focused and centered on developing a hybrid adaptive intelligent system for real-world applications.
