Normal Course Load and Over-Electing

• Full-time status requires a minimum of 12 credit hours.
• A normal course load is 15-16 credit hours.
• Students who meet one of the following criteria are eligible to over-elect by taking up to 20 credit hours:
  • 3.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA); or
  • 3.00 semester grade point average (GPA) in prior semester based on minimum of 15 credit hours; or
  • Students with senior status.

For further information, please consult Busch School Academic Services. Students must use the office’s Forms and Requests to request exceptions from Associate Dean of Students of the Busch School.
