TRS 346 Ukraine: Its History, Liturgy, and Churches Through the Centuries

This course provides an overview of the history, liturgy, and churches of Ukraine from the 988AD baptism by Prince Volodymyr to today. It surveys the early Christian period, the Union of Brest in 1596 with its the subsequent religious and political divisions, the persecution of churches under totalitarianism, and the churches' role today in light of the invasion as an epicenter of global change.
