TRS 322A Ancient and New: Catholic Thought and Tradition

This course studies four major themes in Catholic theology: the immanence and transcendence of God, the limits of theological language, Christology and moral psychology, and the nature of evil. The Fathers of the Church, including Irenaeus, Athanasius, the Cappadocian theologians, and Augustine will be studied. Contemporary theologians will also be examined in connection with each theme.
