MGT 332 Technology and Operations Management

Spring Semester Only. The purpose of this course is to provide students with a broad understanding of several operations management concepts and the technologies associated with them. The course integrates the three pillars of business operations - people, processes, and systems - into a cohesive framework for managing the modern enterprise. Students will study actual business operational issues and explore the various methods managers employ to address them. Emphasis will be placed on the discipline of operational planning, the skill of anticipating the unforeseen, and the art of preparing contingent alternatives to critical paths.
