NURS 923D Clinical Problems: Theoretical Considerations

This course fosters the theory-practice linkage which contributes to an understanding of the nature of nursing science. Students will take a scientific approach to the analysis of a concept derived from a question they have formed about nursing practice/patient care. Students have the opportunity to articulate their ideas and plan to explore the idea in depth and to experience supportive critical analysis of their work. The clinical portion supports the students in exploring their research interest with experts in the field. The end products of these endeavors should be a refined research question and a first draft of Chapter 1 and 2 of the dissertation.
