PSY 204 Introduction to Biological Psychology

How do 3 pounds of tissue in our skulls make us who we are? How do we coordinate all the muscles needed to walk to class without thinking about it? How do we turn light hitting our eyes into the complex visual world that we experience? How do we make memories and why do we remember certain things better than others? This course will provide an introduction to the brain and how it creates behavior. We will explore how we see, hear, taste, feel, move, and remember. Students will be exposed to just how amazing the brain truly is. Fills Math and Natural Science area distribution requirement. Intended for non-concentrators. Psychology BS and Neuro minor students should not take this course. Not open to students who have taken PSY 304.
