EDUC 302 Practicum in Early Childhood/Elementary Education
Taken concurrently with the methods courses for Elementary and Early Childhood programs, candidates are placed in a school community to observe and interact with teachers, students, and their families for this Practicum Experience. Students apply analysis of the school community and contexts where they are placed in coursework for the methods courses.
Students are expected to visit their field sites for this Practicum on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. To provide experience with diverse student populations, candidates are placed in a variety of schools in the DMV area.
