TRS 734A Modern Catholic Social Thought

The course examines the history and development of modern Catholic social thought, centering on the papal and other magisterial documents in the context of the larger philosophical and theological currents that shaped their composition and reception. Within this overview, debates among various contemporary schools of Catholic social thought ¿ liberationism, personalism, neo-integralism, etc. ¿ will be engaged, and specific Catholic teaching on the economy will be highlighted as a keystone issue.
