SSS 659 Foundations of Addiction Science I

Using a strengths-based perspective, this course provides an understanding of the historical and current trends of substance use disorders and responses within the United States. Course content covers a range of information involving the biology and treatment of substance use disorders and the role of language and stigma in preventing and treating substance use and mental health disorders. This course is restricted to trainees enrolled in the Community-Based Integrated Substance Use Training Program.
