PHIL 324 Philosophy in Business

This course will draw from several areas within the history of philosophy to seek fundamental truths that might inform a life in commerce and business. The nature and good of the human person, labor and property, the political community and the role of commerce in the common good, ethics and virtue, and the seeking of truth in the context of business will be addressed. The course will stress the complementarity of faith and reason as necessary to any good life, including that of the business person. The course will prepare students to seek greater truth beyond the daily decisions and activities of a life in commerce.
