EDUC 200 An Introduction to AI and Education

This course introduces students to the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) in educational settings. Students will explore machine learning and AI for instructional planning, assessment, and differentiation. Students will also examine and evaluate AI's impact on student learning. Special attention will be paid to equity and data privacy when using AI for professional practice. This course will help students foster insight into the relationship between theory and practice through interactions with AI teaching and learning resources and observation experiences. The course covers current AI in education issues in a cross-disciplinary context, shaping curriculum, instruction, and the challenges schools face in a changing society.
