EE 539 Radar Systems Hardware

This course introduces the fundamental physical componentry and designs of antennas, power sources, signal processing hardware, and protective structures that are included in modern radar systems. Atmospheric propagation of EM waves is also discussed in depth, as such phenomena affect radar performance. A working knowledge of basics electromagnetics is desirable, but not required, as the relevant mathematical and conceptual tools will be introduced and developed throughout the course.
