EAM 500 Metrics for Mission
This course introduces students to the use of data-driven decision-making by formulating metrics to gauge progress in furthering the Church's mission by measurable change. Metrics used by the entire organization boost cooperative team management for change as each member of the organization strives for incremental wins and improvements in a phase of a project specifically or the values of an organization more generally. Although the supernatural may be inherently immeasurable, indicative signals of success are proposed for measuring the performance of Church institutions, and especially the parish, in achieving the Church's mission, such as: family engagement, sacramental participation, active ministry, lay apostolate, doctrinal education, character formation, the apostolate of data, and finances.
