SAS 227 AI for College Students

This course introduces key concepts of artificial intelligence, with a focus on large language models and their applications. Emphasis is placed on developing critical perspectives on AI and using AI effectively and ethically in an academic setting. Students will gain experience using AI tools for tasks such as research, brainstorming, organizing, writing emails and studying, and learn how to address common AI pitfalls such as bias, misinformation and plagiarism. The course is intended for freshmen and sophomores, and no prior technical experience is required.
