MDIA 316 Sound and Story: Audio Narrative from Broadcasting to Podcasting

The last decade has seen an explosion in podcasting. This course will critically examine different ways in which sound is used to make meaning, tell stories, and create intimate connections with audiences. It explores how contemporary podcasting both extends earlier radio aesthetics as well as innovating new ways of using sound.
