ART 232 Digital Art and Design II: Photo-Manipulation and Digital Painting

A hands-on survey of the role of the computer in contemporary art and design. This course concentrates on drafting, painting, masking and compositing features and capabilities using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other digital painting software. This course serves as a detailed introduction to the unparalleled possibilities for creating and manipulating images in digital formats. Students will learn and master the use of basic tools, multiple-step techniques, digital asset and workflow management along with an overall review of fundamental concepts of visual art and design.
