PLCY 546 Policy Analysis - Causal Impact Evaluation
Policy Impact Evaluation introduces students to the quantitative and research design skills necessary to measure the impact of policies or programs on their desired outcomes. Techniques to be explored include design and implementation of randomized controlled trials as well as quasi-experimental methods such as propensity score matching, instrumental variable, and regression discontinuity. The class will pursue applications and examples that relate to the political and social common good as understood by Catholic Social Teaching.
Prerequisite
Open to students in the Masters in Public Policy and Master of Arts in Applied Economics program and to MPP 4+1 students with academic dean's office approval.
