ART 602 Contemporary Issues in Art Education

Students explore ways in which contemporary issues in art, education, and society influence theories and practices in art + design education. Grounded in practices that foster the personal creative potential for every human being and envision art and education as a form of critical public engagement supporting social justice and embracing diversity and equity. With an arts-based research approach, students explore and respond to contemporary issues while developing their own abilities as artists, researchers, and teachers.
