ART 582 Art + Design for Diverse Learners
Gain expertise in roles and responsibilities as advocates and teachers of individuals with disabilities in art education. Investigate art education practices grounded in research that enable inclusion and successful education of all students. Two-week in person with independent and seminar-style art and design content related to the accommodations and adaptations for inclusive art settings. Involves readings, observations, reflections, discussion, personal research, and application of art curriculum and contemporary pedagogy. Explore Universal Design for Learning (UDL) for the purposes of enhancing the learning experiences of students with disabilities and all learners.
