ART 581 Inquiry to Practice (Capstone Research)

This capstone research course fosters personal development of the artist, researcher, teacher/facilitator of artistic practices. Examine art-based research and art + design processes as ways of understanding toward new knowledge. Students learn the basics of art-based qualitative methodologies and the relationship between theory, context, and practice. This course culminates in a digital capstone studio exhibition and supporting thesis. The course is delivered through online and hybrid lectures, personal studio and writing, and a required group research seminar (required but ungraded).
