CSC 404 Ethics in Artificial Intelligence
This course introduces the ethical, social, and legal problems that arise, intensify, or transform due to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). It then provides methodologies and develops frameworks for addressing these concerns. The initial portion of the course encourages students to contemplate the ethical, social, and cultural implications of AI, with a focus on the challenges encountered by AI developers, data scientists, and other professionals. This fosters awareness and equips students with the skills needed to integrate ethical principles and frameworks into AI, ML, and related Data Science technologies. The goal is to enhance transparency, foster trust, promote adoption, and encourage responsible leadership within the field.
