CHN 205 Asian Philosophies and Religions

This introductory course provides an opportunity for students to explore the world of Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Shinto through project-based learning, cultural immersion, and interactive discussions. The course aims to deepen students' understanding of spirituality's influence on human experiences and the relationship between religious beliefs and daily actions in a multicultural world. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the core teachings and practices of these traditions and how they shape personal and societal decision-making processes. The innovative project-based approach encourages the application of philosophical insights to contemporary challenges, promoting intercultural dialogue and understanding.
