Over-Electing

There are some circumstances in which an undergraduate nursing student might want to take more than the normal full-time course load of 5 courses (15 credits). Taking more courses than the normal full-time course load is called over-electing.

Students may over-elect when they meet all of the following criteria:

1. The student has a grade point average from the preceding semester of 3.2 or above.
2. The student has a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or above.
3. The student has not failed a nursing course.
4. The student is granted permission by the Conway School of Nursing Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs.
