Theory of small polaron transport in disordered materials. Theory of variable range and nearest neighbor hopping transport in glasses. Optical processes in disordered media. Linear and nonlinear irreversible thermodynamics covering fluctuation theory, Onsager theorem correlation functions in space and time, the fluctuation-dissipation theorem, and the Kramers-Kronig theorem. Review of examples pertaining to glasses.
