ME 516 Nanomechanics and Multi-Scale Modeling

This course introduces Graduate students to the basic concepts and methods of atomistic simulation, including quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulation methods. Students are also familiarized with the integration of these methods into multi-scale simulation for the solution of mechanical engineering and materials science problems. The course includes an individual project on a topic chosen by the student under the guidance of the instructor.
