Computer Requirements

As part of the nursing program, there are specific computer requirements that must be met prior to beginning in nursing (NURS) courses. In order to become a Registered Nurse, you are required to pass an online licensure examination, NCLEX-RN, after successfully completing your B.S.N. degree from Catholic University. The Conway School of Nursing has instituted testing requirements to better prepare our students for the licensure exam. All undergraduate nursing courses (any course with the NURS prefix) administers all tests through the ExamSoft platform. During the entire time studying nursing here, you are required to have a laptop or tablet that meets the ExamSoft minimum requirements. The program (Examplify) runs on most Windows-based and Mac computers purchased within the last 3 years. Details on the Examplify minimum requirements are found under the following link: https://examsoft.force.com/etcommunity/s/article/Examplify-Minimum-System-Requirements. It is a student’s responsibility to ensure that you have met these requirements with your laptop and/or tablet now and throughout the duration of your time in the nursing program.
