DR 607 History of Drama and Theatre in Education

This course will examine the history and philosophies of drama and theatre as processes for active and creative learning in educational settings. Students will study the field's development and trends through the work of significant practitioners and pedagogies, and trace the development of the educational uses of drama in American schools from the late 1800s to the present.
