DR 202 Theatre Topics
Through the reading of a wide array of theatrical texts and criticism, this course provides students with the tools necessary for theatrical text analysis. Using analytical methods of theater greats from Aristotle to David Ball to Eleanor Fuchs to Suzan Lori Parks, students will explore the approachability and playability of more difficult texts, find confidence in their own analytical abilities, as well as discover how the work of classic playwrights is mirrored and honored in the work of contemporary playwrights.
