Admission Requirements
ABSN Pathway
Applications to the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program are managed through the Office of Graduate Admissions to facilitate the evaluation of prior academic coursework and degree documentation. Applicants must submit a completed application by the published admission deadline for their intended semester of entry.
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Submit a completed Catholic University online application. No application fee is required.

Hold a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field from a regionally accredited institution.

Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0.

Achieve a minimum score of 58.7 on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) or a minimum score of 80 on the Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI) Admission Assessment.

Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended and official entrance examination scores. Unofficial transcripts may be accepted for the initial admissions review; however, official transcripts are required before enrollment.

Complete all required prerequisite courses with a minimum prerequisite GPA of 3.0, with no grade lower than a C in any prerequisite course. Science prerequisite courses must have been completed within the previous five years.

Due to the hybrid nature of the ABSN curriculum, applicants who require an F-1 student visa are not eligible for admission.
