LSC 833 Performing Arts Librarianship
Introduction to the management and administration of performing arts collections (music, theater, and dance), including those in public, academic, conservatory, and research libraries, as well as those in performance and archival settings. Examines the practices of collecting, providing access to, and preserving music, dance, and theater materials, including published and unpublished music, designs, monographs, scripts, business papers, correspondence, manuscripts, and recordings in a variety of media. Special emphasis on recent developments in contemporary performing arts librarianship.
