NURS 380AC Accelerated Community Health and Health Promotion

This course provides a foundation in population health, including community and population assessment, intervention and evaluation of culturally diverse and vulnerable populations. It explores the nurses role related to the care of vulnerable groups in the community. Emphasis is on primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of health problems, and concepts of community and population health affecting cultural diverse and vulnerable populations. Catholic Identity and nutrition will be integrated and discussed within the community health setting.
