DR 432 Audio Drama: Readers Theatre, Radio Drama, and Podcasts

Podcasts are the 21st century's radio dramas and their popularity continues to grow along with the increasing interest in the power and potential of the spoken word. In this course, students will explore the vast number of old-time radio scripts and readers theatre scripts available online while learning how to create new original scripts, speak clearly and communicate character through voice, and find or create sound effects to enhance their recorded productions. Students will also learn how to upload productions to podcast sites for sharing with audiences beyond the classroom.
