ART 101 Fundamentals of Design I
This introductory studio art course focuses primarily on investigating two-dimensional design theories and principles through creative problem solving. Projects will employ a variety of mediums and processes including drawing, painting, collage, digital media, sculpture and installation. A primary focus will be on developing a critical eye informed by an understanding of composition and the elements of design. Through varied research, students will explore sensory, emotional, intellectual, and aesthetic concepts with an emphasis on individual expression.
