The study of physics is an attempt to understand the physical universe in as fundamental a way as possible. It examines the mathematical relationships that exist among the physical entities of the world and, in particular, tries to discover the general principles that govern the behavior of the microscopic and macroscopic universe. A combination of introductory and special purpose courses are provided and prepare majors to enter graduate work, the government sector, industry, or teaching with a firm grasp of the fundamentals.
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Physics
This interdisciplinary major is administered by the department of physics.
The requirements for the major can be found at Chemical Physics - Bachelor of Science (B.S.)
Bachelor of Arts in Physics
The requirements for the major can be found at Physics - Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
Bachelor of Science in Physics
The requirements for the major can be found at Physics - Bachelor of Science (B.S.)
The exact number of such courses depends upon whether the student is pursuing a B.A. or a B.S. curriculum.
