Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (M.A.I.S.)
The Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (M.A.I.S.) allows students to combines multiple academic disciplines and create a program of study that is tailored to their interest and goals. IT combines the School of Professional Studies core courses with discipline-based courses, enabling students to incorporate and integrate various academic perspectives, theories and methodologies.
The MAIS program consist of 36 credits split between a core curriculum of 18 credits and a discipline-based curriculum of 18 credits. The program requires successful completion of 36 semester credit hours; a minimum of 30 credits must be taken at The Catholic University of America. Students are allowed a maximum of 7 years from their initial enrollment to meet all degree requirements.
