ENG 860 William Faulkner, Robert Penn Warren, and Ralph Ellison

This seminar focuses on the works of three major twentieth century southern writers. The course considers the relationship between the writers' creative practices and U.S. culture, including issues involving segregation, eugenics, the Cold War, McCarthyism, and the Civil Rights Movement.
