EDUC 651 Historical Foundations of Catholic Education

This course introduces students to the aims, goals, and functions of schooling emphasizing the philosophical, historical, and socio-political context of Catholic education. This course emphasizes and fosters insight into the relationships between theory and practice. The course covers current educational issues in a cross disciplinary context that shapes curriculum, instruction, and the challenges of schools in a changing society.
