MHU 125 Renaissance Art & Humanism

This course introduces students to the fine arts through a study the major art styles of the European Renaissance, 1300-1550, as expressed in painting, sculpture, and architecture. The ideas and values expressed in the movement known as Renaissance Humanism will be correlated to the form and content of the art. The works and writings of Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, Leonardo, van Eyck, Alberti, and More will be among those studied.
