MATH 322 Abstract Algebra II

Continued study of rings, integral domains, and fields. Division and factorization in polynomial rings and Euclidean domains. Fields, field extensions, and finite fields. Introduction to Galois Theory. Additional topics may include: geometric constructions, Sylow theorems, finite simple groups, symmetry groups, or other special topics at the discretion of the instructor. If students do not meet requisite requirements, permission of the department is required.
