MATH 109 Pre-Calculus for Engineers

This course is an extended version of Math 108 with a focus on the mathematics needed to succeed in Math 121 (Analytic Geometry and Calculus I). Topics include solving equations and inequalities, graphs of functions, multiplying and factoring algebraic expressions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions and their inverses, and an introduction to limits. Note that this course cannot be used to fulfill the Math/Natural sciences requirement in the School of Arts and Sciences.
