ENG 101H Writing and Rhetoric: Honors

ENG 101H offers students opportunities to improve as writers through critical reading and careful composition. Students will be introduced to methods of rhetorical and textual analysis as well as of invention, organization, and revision. The course is designed to help students develop their ability to think analytically and creatively, to articulate their ideas clearly, and to craft optimally persuasive communications. Emphasis will also be placed on information literacy and appropriate practices of scholarly writing and research. The purpose of this course is to help students develop as writers by practicing different forms of writing as well as revision, by learning and applying the rudiments of grammar and style, and by analyzing good writing.
