EE 442 Antennas and Propagation

All modern appliances from washing machines to VCRs contain at least one microprocessor or microcontroller.  A modern automobile might have a dozen microcontrollers controller everything from the fuel injection to the antilock breaks.  In this class we will explore, from a hands on perspective, the design and implementation of microcontrollers.  The course will cover the basic hardware architectures, software development, and interfacing issues of several common microcontrollers.  At least one day a week will be spent in the laboratory.  Grading will be based on a combination of homework, exam grades and laboratory projects.
