CEE 241 Introduction to Construction Engineering and Management
Introduces the area of construction engineering and management, covering a wide range of topics related to the planning and control of construction projects. Including project types, participants, and phases; project life cycle; basic means and methods and materials*; plan drawings*; economics and the time value of money*; submittals, records, and reporting; legal structures and business plans; and overview of sustainability. Several site visits across the region give exposure to the diverse nature and challenges of real-world projects. A comprehensive semester project in teamwork applies concepts learned in classes.
