ART 451A Senior Art History Coordinating Seminar
This capstone course is an in-depth introduction to historiography and methodology, with a focus on the critical issues and research skills required to write advanced art historical texts. This course is designed to advance the student's visual and verbal literacy, and to hone the student's ability to write with specificity, accuracy, logic, persuasive power, and eloquence. The course also includes meetings with professionals from area museums, galleries, and arts organizations to broaden the major's exposure to some of the many opportunities available to trained art historians in the field.
