Disability Support Services

The Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) provides programs and services designed to support and encourage the integration of students with disabilities into the mainstream of the university community.  DSS works with registered students with disabilities to ensure access so that they may participate as fully as possible in all of campus life. At the same time, students with disabilities are responsible for making their needs known and meeting the academic standards set for all Catholic University students. Although it is not required that students with disabilities formally register with the Office of Disability Support Services, students who wish to use accommodations must become registered with DSS on a semesterly basis (academic accommodations) or an annual basis (housing, dining accommodations).  New students are encouraged to contact DSS soon after accepting admission to Catholic University to learn more about services and the registration process. A student can submit an Accessibility Request with DSS at any point as a student, however, any accommodations that are approved cannot be retroactively applied.
