Collaborative Piano
Requirements for the major can be found at Music - Bachelor of Music (B.M.)
To graduate, collaborative piano majors must complete Piano Level IX. Requirements for each level appear at the end of the Undergraduate Programs section. 
MUS 153, MUS 154, MUS 155, MUS 156, MUS 321, MUS 337, MUS 434, MUS 457, MUS 576, MUS 576A, and Piano Pedagogy courses are offered on a rotational basis, and students may take these courses out of the sequence listed, if necessary.
Music elective credits, when used as substitutes for music course credits, may be satisfied by either MUS or MUPI. In order for MUPI credits to count toward the degree, a jury is required.
MUS 401 Accompanying Practicum (0 cr.): This course is required for all BM in Collaborative Piano degree majors. Every student must be enrolled for 8 semesters. The course will consist of one hour of accompanying assignment per week. The assignment for each semester will be determined by the adviser and applied instructor. 
Level juries: 15 minutes of piano accompanying repertoire and 15 minutes of chamber music repertoire
No memorization is required for any juries and degree recitals.
Undergraduate Levels of Piano Study 
Each level normally represents one year of study. Students may audition to advance at their own pace. Initial placement is designated at entrance.
Semester Jury = 20 minutes Level Jury = 20 minutes 
Assignment of level is made by jury hearing audition and is not based solely on repertoire presented. Each level requires either a public performance appropriate to that level or, where no public performance is designated, 60 minutes of prepared repertoire.
To graduate, music education piano principals must complete a minimum Level of VIII; piano performance majors must complete Level X; piano pedagogy majors must complete Level VIII; collaborative piano majors must complete Level IX; composition majors whose principal instrument is piano must complete Level VI; and piano concentrators in the Bachelor of Arts (Performance emphasis) degree program must complete Level VIII.
