Admission

Admission requirements and specifications are provided at the School of Canon Law website.

Application for graduate study at CUA is through the Office of the Vice-Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies.

Admission to study is open to properly qualified persons who meet the following requirements:

Official transcripts of undergraduate and, if completed, postgraduate studies.
Completion of the required theological and philosophical course preparation.
Two or more letters of recommendation from officials or faculty members of institutions previously attended.
Results of the Graduate Record Examination taken within the past five years may also be required.

Please note, priests, deacons, candidates for orders, and religious will be asked to submit a letter of support and of good standing from their bishop or religious superior.
